On certain vehicles, the splines of the steering coupling interlock could excessively wear due to insufficient tightening torque of the steering coupling. This could cause the connection between the coupling and shaft to be compromised, which could result in a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering coupling.

United States records (NHTSA) · 3

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Mercedes-Benz's Canadian VIN lookup.
