On certain units, a molding strip located in the dashboard may have been improperly spot welded to the passenger airbag covering flap. In the event of an airbag deployment, the molding strip could become loose and enter the passenger compartment or impair proper airbag function. This could increase the risk of personal injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will reinforce the connection between the airbag flap and the molding strip.

United States records (NHTSA) · 1

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2011 Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Mercedes-Benz's Canadian VIN lookup.
