Issue: On a small number of vehicles, a defective bolt may restrict fluid pressure to the brake caliper. As a result, there may be no braking on one wheel. If your vehicle has this problem, you may notice reduced braking, or feel the vehicle pull to the left or right while braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: McLaren will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the brake hose banjo bolt on each brake caliper. The bolts will be replaced, if required.

Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: McLaren will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to remove the foam pad from the floor panel of the vehicle. Dealers will also inspect the fuel tank, and repair or replace it as necessary.

United States records (NHTSA) · 2
These are NHTSA campaigns for 2020 McLaren 720S vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and McLaren's Canadian VIN lookup.
McLaren Automotive Incorporated (McLaren) is recalling certain 2020 570S, GT, 2019 600LT, and 2019-2020 720S vehicles. The brake assembly banjo bolt may be missing the holes that supply brake fluid to the caliper, which would cause the brakes to fail on one corner of the vehicle.
Brake failure in one corner can cause the vehicle to pull to one side during braking, and increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the banjo bolt, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 1, 2021. Owners may contact McLaren customer service at 1-646-429-8916. McLaren's number for this recall is SRC 00 C 001.

McLaren Automotive Incorporated (McLaren) is recalling certain 2016-2020 720S, 2019 Senna, 2020 GT, and 2017-2019 570GT vehicles. The Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) foam pad underneath the fuel tank may retain moisture and corrode the fuel tank, potentially causing a fuel leak.
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
McLaren will notify owners, and dealers will remove the NVH foam pad from the vehicle and inspect the fuel tank. If the fuel tank is found to have corrosion, it will be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began June 17, 2020. Owners may contact McLaren's Client Services department at 855-202-8815, Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm EST or customerservice.na@mclaren.com.

2020 McLaren 720S recall questions
Transport Canada lists 2 recalls for the 2020 McLaren 720S model year. That counts campaigns naming this model year, not recalls on your vehicle: many cover only a VIN range or production window, and some only vehicles found on inspection. NHTSA lists 2 United States campaigns for the US-market model, shown separately; a US campaign may have no Canadian equivalent.
Enter your VIN in McLaren's Canadian recall lookup, or call a McLaren dealer with your VIN. In Canada the manufacturer is responsible for showing recall and repair status for each VIN, so its lookup is the authoritative answer. Cardog uses your VIN only to find the model year; the recalls shown here are listed for that model year and are not matched to your VIN.
Not necessarily. NHTSA campaigns cover vehicles sold in the United States, and NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data. When a defect also affects Canadian vehicles, the manufacturer files a separate notice with Transport Canada, often under a different number and sometimes covering a different set of vehicles. For a Canadian vehicle, go by the Transport Canada listing and McLaren's Canadian lookup.
Safety recall repairs are normally done at no charge by an authorized McLaren dealer. The manufacturer's notice for each campaign sets out the remedy and any conditions, so confirm with the dealer when you book.
Once McLaren's lookup or a dealer confirms a recall applies, book the repair with an authorized McLaren dealer and bring your VIN. If the manufacturer's notice says not to drive the vehicle or to park it outside, follow that instruction. Parts can take time, so book early.
Follow the manufacturer's notice for that recall. Most allow normal driving until the repair; some tell owners to stop driving or to park outside until it is fixed. Cardog does not grade recalls by severity: the manufacturer's notice and your dealer are the source.
Manufacturers must notify owners they have on record. If you bought the vehicle used or have moved, update your details with McLaren Canada so notices reach you, and check the manufacturer's lookup from time to time.
