Issue: On certain vehicles, plugs were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations don't allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device. Safety Risk: Headlamps that aren't properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility and/or glare for oncoming drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Maserati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install plugs over the headlamp adjustment screws.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Maserati will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the radio software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Maserati dealership.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to not appear on the display screen. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Maserati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the central vision processing/park assist module software.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Maserati has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label may have been printed in English only. Canadian regulations require information on the label to be listed in both English and French. Safety Risk: A label that is missing information in French could cause confusion. Corrective Actions: Maserati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the tire and loading information label.
