Safety Recalls & Notices
Requires attention
Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Grancabrio, 2024-2025 Granturismo, and 2023-2025 Grecale vehicles. The headlights may be missing adjustment prevention caps, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamp, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment."
Improperly aimed headlights can result in insufficient illumination of the road, reducing the driver's visibility, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Maserati North America will inspect and, if necessary, install one or two caps to cover the horizontal headlight aim adjustment mechanism, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 12, 2025. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 805. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 28, 2025.
Issue: On certain vehicles, plugs were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations don't allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device. Safety Risk: Headlamps that aren't properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility and/or glare for oncoming drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Maserati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install plugs over the headlamp adjustment screws.
Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Grecale, 2023-2025 MC20 Cielo, 2024 Granturismo, GranCabrio, 2021-2024 Levante, Ghibli, Quattroporte, and 2022-2025 MC 20 vehicles. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The radio software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 10, 2025. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 740.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Maserati will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the radio software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Maserati dealership.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Maserati has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause an incorrect fuel level to be displayed on the instrument panel cluster. As a result, the driver may be unaware of how much fuel is in the tank, and the vehicle could run out of fuel and stall. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Maserati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the body control module software.
