Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine block heater could leak coolant. If this happens, the block heater could short circuit when it's plugged in. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Ford advises you not to use the engine block heater until the recall repairs have been completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the block heater.
Summary
Issue: On certain trucks, water could leak into the connector for the rearview camera. Over time, this could cause corrosion to the ground wire. If this happens, the rearview camera image may not display correctly or at all. Note: Vehicles equipped with 360-degree camera systems are not affected by this recall. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the rearview camera and the rearview camera wiring harness.

As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, the seat belt reminder chime may not sound for long enough when you start the vehicle, and your seat belt is not buckled. Canadian regulations require both a seat belt reminder sound and visual telltale when a driver is not wearing their seat belt. Note: This recall only affects vehicles with a Revel audio system. Safety Risk: A seat belt warning that doesn't work correctly may not remind you to buckle your seat belt. Not wearing your seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the audio control module software.
