VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN PRODUCED WITH AN INADEQUATE SEAL BETWEEN THE FUEL FILLER PIPE HOUSING AND THE FUEL FILLER OPENING COLLAR DUE TO THE OMISSION OF TWO ATTACHING SCREWS DURING VEHICLE ASSEMBLY. IF "SPIT-BACK" OR OVERFLOW WERE TO OCCUR DURING REFUELING, FUEL COULD LEAK INTO THE RIGHT REAR FENDER WELL. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT A FUEL AND AIR MIXTURE IN THE FENDER WELL WOULD BE IGNITED BY NEARBY ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.

United States records (NHTSA) · 2

These are NHTSA campaigns for 1982 Lincoln Continental vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Lincoln's Canadian VIN lookup.
