On certain vehicles, water contamination of the automatic transmission oil can lead to various failure modes of the transmission. One of these failure modes results in incorrect operation of the park lock function that could allow a vehicle to roll away if parked without the handbrake properly set. Correction: Dealers will check the park lock function; reposition the automatic transmission breather tube; and test the automatic transmission fluid and flush if necessary.

United States records (NHTSA) · 3

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2000 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Land Rover's Canadian VIN lookup.
