On certain vehicles, the wiring that connects the steering column rotary coupler (clockspring) to the driver's airbag module may fracture as a result of relative motion between the clockspring and the steering wheel hub. This may result in the deployment of only one stage of the dual stage airbag during a vehicle crash of sufficient severity, or cause the airbag to not deploy at all. Should the airbag module fail to deploy in the intended manner, it could increase the driver's risk of injury or death. Correction: Dealers will insert alignment spacers into specific areas of the steering column.

United States records (NHTSA) · 5

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2005 Land Rover LR3 vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Land Rover's Canadian VIN lookup.
