Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 - Tire Selection and Rims. The Tire and Loading Information Label does not contain the spare tire inflation pressure, contrary to the requirements of the standard. This could result in spare tire under or over-inflation, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a revised Tire and Loading Information Label.
On certain vehicles the brake servo vacuum supply hose may be mis-routed which could cause the hose to be in close proximity to the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve and attachments on the exhaust manifold. The hose may melt or could deteriorate over time resulting in a leak and a loss of brake assistance. A loss of brake assistance may cause extended stopping distances which could result in a crash causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect the brake vacuum hose routing and adjust as necessary. The hose will be replaced if there are signs of damage.
