Issue: On certain trucks, the chassis and cab wiring harnesses may not have been routed properly. As result, the wiring could become damaged by contact with nearby components and cause a short circuit. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels, the electronic parking brake could stop working, the tail lamps may not work, the airbag warning light may turn on, transmission shifting issues could occur, or the combination switch may not work. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2026-158. Trucks that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. A loss of power to the wheels and the other issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the wiring harnesses. The dealer will also ensure that the wiring harnesses are secured properly.

United States records (NHTSA) · 1
These are NHTSA campaigns for 2025 Isuzu Npr Xd vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Isuzu's Canadian VIN lookup.
Isuzu Motors Limited (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 5500XD, 4500XD, Isuzu NRR, NPR HD, NPR XD, 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 4500HD, and Isuzu NRR EV vehicles. The chassis and/or cab wire harnesses may chafe against metal components, leading to harness failure.
Harness failure may cause an engine stall or the brake lights and parking brake to fail, increasing the risk of a crash. Damaged wires may also melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
Dealers will add additional fasteners, inspect and replace the harnesses as necessary, free of charge. This is a Phased campaign. Phase 1 will include NRR EV vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2026 to NRR EV owners. Phase 2 will include Isuzu N-Series and Chevrolet LCF Series vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed May 22, 2026 to Isuzu N-Series owners. Phase 3 will include Chevrolet LCF Series owners. 2025 Isuzu Npr Xd recall questions
Transport Canada lists 2 recalls for the 2025 Isuzu Npr Xd model year. That counts campaigns naming this model year, not recalls on your vehicle: many cover only a VIN range or production window, and some only vehicles found on inspection. NHTSA lists 1 United States campaign for the US-market model, shown separately; a US campaign may have no Canadian equivalent.
Enter your VIN in Isuzu's Canadian recall lookup, or call a Isuzu dealer with your VIN. In Canada the manufacturer is responsible for showing recall and repair status for each VIN, so its lookup is the authoritative answer. Cardog uses your VIN only to find the model year; the recalls shown here are listed for that model year and are not matched to your VIN.
Not necessarily. NHTSA campaigns cover vehicles sold in the United States, and NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data. When a defect also affects Canadian vehicles, the manufacturer files a separate notice with Transport Canada, often under a different number and sometimes covering a different set of vehicles. For a Canadian vehicle, go by the Transport Canada listing and Isuzu's Canadian lookup.
Safety recall repairs are normally done at no charge by an authorized Isuzu dealer. The manufacturer's notice for each campaign sets out the remedy and any conditions, so confirm with the dealer when you book.
Once Isuzu's lookup or a dealer confirms a recall applies, book the repair with an authorized Isuzu dealer and bring your VIN. If the manufacturer's notice says not to drive the vehicle or to park it outside, follow that instruction. Parts can take time, so book early.
Follow the manufacturer's notice for that recall. Most allow normal driving until the repair; some tell owners to stop driving or to park outside until it is fixed. Cardog does not grade recalls by severity: the manufacturer's notice and your dealer are the source.
Manufacturers must notify owners they have on record. If you bought the vehicle used or have moved, update your details with Isuzu Canada so notices reach you, and check the manufacturer's lookup from time to time.
