Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, the tailgate wiring harness could become damaged. As a result, the rearview camera image may not display when the transmission is shifted into the reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the tailgate wiring harness.

Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, the steering gearbox may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the inner joint may loosen and detach from the steering rack, causing a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering gearbox assembly.

Safety Risk: Reduced braking or a loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the brake master cylinder and brake booster. The dealer will inspect for any missing nuts and damaged brake booster parts and replace them as necessary.

Honda (America Honda Motor Co) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Ridgeline vehicles. The rearview camera (RVC) tailgate wire harness may fatigue and break, which can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying.
