On certain S10, S15, T10 and T15, the vacuum hose may detach from the brake booster check valve as a result of engine backfire. This would result in increased engine idle and loss of brake power assist after depletion of the booster vacuum reserve. A significant increase in brake pedal pressure experienced by the driver combined with increased engine rpm when minimal stopping distances are required could result in a vehicle crash. Correction: A clamp will be installed on the power brake booster hose at the brake booster check valve end.

United States records (NHTSA) · 1

These are NHTSA campaigns for 1994 GMC S-Series vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and GMC's Canadian VIN lookup.
