Certain vehicles may experience an external transmission fluid leak at the lube feed passage due to thin case casting in the cooler boss area. This condition could allow transmission oil to spray onto the exhaust system which could result in a vehicle fire. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and transmission replaced if required.

On certain P30 vehicles, a Fluid leak in the auto-apply hydraulic parking brake system may cause the parking brake to apply while the vehicle is being driven. This would cause the brakes to drag and the "brake" telltale to come on. If the driver ignores the "brake" telltale and continues to drive with the parking brake applied, the parking brake system could fail. If the driver then attempted to park the vehicle and released the brake pedal, the motor home could roll. Correction: An auto-park brake system service kit will be installed, the hydraulic power system will be bled and the parking brake will be adjusted.

On certain P3 vehicles with Dana model 80 rear axles, a missing rear axle outer bearing retaining ring and/or greater than specified bearing end play will allow the wheel rotor and hub assembly to shift relative to the spindle. This can cause the brake caliper to recede farther than normal into the piston bore. This would require greater than normal fluid displacement when the brakes are applied and could result in the vehicle not meeting the requirements of CMVSS 105 - Hydraulic Brake Systems. Correction: rear axle hubs will be inspected and corrected if necessary.

On certain P3 vehicles with i-beam front suspensions and automatic transmissions, the shift lever may not drop into the "park" detent when placed into the "park" position. This would allow the shift lever to move from "park" to "reverse" without the operator having to lift the shift lever and could result in the transmission being placed in reverse gear unintentionally. This could cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and shift linkage and steering column will be adjusted if necessary. If adjustment is ineffective, the upper steering column bracket will be replaced.
