Issue: On certain trucks, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 20C03 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-071) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the daytime running lamps (DRLs) to remain on when switching the master lighting switch from the ''Autolamp'' position to the ''headlamp on'' position. Canadian regulations require the DRLs to turn off when the headlamps are switched on. Safety Risk: Daytime running lamps that stay on could cause glare for oncoming drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the body control module software.

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2020 Ford F-150 vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Ford's Canadian VIN lookup.
