Issue: On certain vehicles converted for wheelchair access by BraunAbility, the occupant restraint tie-down pucks may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the tie-down pucks could become loose and detach in a crash. Safety Risk: Tie-down pucks that detach in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: BraunAbility will notify owners by mail and advise you to take you vehicle to a BraunAbility service center to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the occupant restraint tie-down pucks.

The unintended connection may prevent the air bags from deploying, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
Air bags with insufficient pressure retention increase the risk of ejection and injury during a crash.
Dealers will replace the side curtain air bags, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 14, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are 06D, 10D, and 11D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 2, 2026. An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
