Corrective Action: General Motors will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the emergency jack. The company recommends that you should not use the original emergency jack. Instead, if you are in a situation which requires its use, they recommend that you should call the GM Roadside Assistance Centre.
