Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, the radio may not have been manufactured properly and/or there could be a problem with the radio software. As a result, the rearview camera image may not display correctly or at all. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the radio. The dealer will also update the radio software, as necessary.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the brake booster input rod may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the input rod could detach from the brake booster and cause a loss of brakes. Safety Risk: A loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash. Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.

Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light to display on the instrument panel or the seat belt reminder chime and warning light to stay on, even if you're buckled. Safety Risk: An airbag that deploys with too much force could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Issue: On a small number of vehicles, there may be a problem with the antilock brake system (ABS) hydraulic control unit. During hard braking, this could cause a sudden loss of brake assist and ABS braking. If this happens, there will be an increase in brake pedal effort that is required to stop the vehicle. Safety Risk: A sudden increase in brake pedal force and a loss of ABS braking could lead to an increase in stopping distance. This could increase the risk of a crash.
