Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 210.2. The child restraint fixture anchor may contact the rear seat back frame. This interference prevents the forward most portion of the anchor from adequately penetrating the child lower anchors. In the event of a crash, if the child seat is not properly secured, personal injury or death could occur. Correction: Dealers will replace the child lower anchors.

On certain vehicles, the fuel intake nipple of the fuel distributor is subject to fracture or cracking during removal of the quick connect coupling securing the main fuel tube assembly to the fuel intake nipple, or when force is accidentally applied to the intake nipple during the vehicle assembly process or during engine compartment repairs. If this occurs, fuel leakage can result and fire may occur if an ignition source is present. Correction: Dealer will install a redesigned fuel distributor and main fuel tube assembly.

United States records (NHTSA) · 2

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2004 Kia Rio vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Kia's Canadian VIN lookup.
