Issue: On certain hybrid vehicles, a problem in the hybrid power control unit (HPCU) could cause it to overheat. Note: This problem could cause the vehicle not to start or to enter a reduced power mode and the malfunction indicator lamp to display. Safety Risk: An HPCU that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the HPCU software.

United States records (NHTSA) · 4

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2026 Hyundai Elantra vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Hyundai's Canadian VIN lookup.
