   Issue: On certain vehicles, the high-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough and the check engine light may turn on. This could also cause a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Note: For the Elantra, Kona and Veloster models, this recall only affects the N performance versions. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the engine control module software. The high-pressure fuel pump will be replaced, if necessary.

   Issue: Under certain conditions, the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly could become damaged. If this happens, oil could leak onto hot components. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.3 L turbo (T-GDI) engine. This recall replaces recall R0159 (Transport Canada recall number 2019-350). Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly.

   Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem in the control module for the antilock brake system (ABS) could cause it to short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace fuse for the ABS module. Hyundai recommends that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.

   Issue: On certain vehicles, there could a problem with the low pressure fuel pump assembly. As a result, the flow of fuel to the engine could be partially blocked. Under certain conditions, this could cause the engine to stall. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the jet nozzle of the low pressure fuel pump assembly, and repair it, if necessary.
