Issue: On certain trucks, the repairs completed by a General Motors dealer during recall N192220470 (Transport Canada recall no. 2019-325) or customer satisfaction program no. N192270330 may not have been completed properly. As a result, a second repair is required. Additionally, certain trucks may not have had the updated parts installed during production. On certain trucks equipped with a power sliding rear window, the rear defroster wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the contact cover for the sliding rear window. The dealer will also update the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) software, if necessary. If the rear window or sliding glass assembly are damaged, they will be replaced.

Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a diesel engine and dual fuel tanks, the rear fuel pump may not transfer enough fuel to the front tank. If this happens, you may notice an engine hesitation and the check engine light may turn on. The engine could also stall suddenly while driving, and you may not be able to restart it. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the rear fuel tank and fuel pump module, and replace them if necessary. The dealer will also add a fuel tank vent hose.

Issue: On certain vehicles, a small coolant leak could cause the engine block-heater cable to short circuit while plugged in. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a 6.6 L diesel engine and an optional block-heater power cable. This recall replaces Transport Canada Recall # 2019-204. All vehicles repaired under that recall require a second repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit could cause damage to engine components and create the risk of a fire. Corrective Action: General Motors will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. Do not use your engine-block heater until the repairs are performed.
