Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Isuzu NPR, 2008 NPR HD and NPR-HD Gas, 2011-2018 NPR HD and NRR, 2015-2018 NPR XD, 2012-2018 NQR, 2012-2017 NPR Gas and NPR-HD Gas, 2016-2017 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 3500 HD, 3500 and 4500 and 2017-2018 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 4500 HD, 4500 XD, 5500 HD and 5500 XD vehicles, equipped with certain Walter Kidde Plastic-Handle Fire Extinguishers, models FC10 and FC110. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Isuzu will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde to get a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in December 2017. Owners may contact Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638 or Walter Kidde customer service at 1-855-262-3540 or they may also visit www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" to order replacement fire extinguishers free of charge. Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. (Isuzu) is recalling certain model year 2008-2009 and 2012-2013 Isuzu NPR and NPR HD vehicles and 2008-2009 GMC W3500 and GMC W4500 vehicles. The affected vehicles, equipped with a gasoline-powered engine, have a throttle pedal that may get stuck under the steel stopper bolt, causing the pedal to remain in the full throttle position.
A stuck open accelerator pedal may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop the vehicle, which could cause a crash, serious injury or death.
Isuzu will notify owners, and dealers will remove and replace the stopper bolt with a flanged plate, to prevent lateral movement of the throttle, free of charge. The recall began on June 23, 2017. Owners may contact Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638.

Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2011-2016 NPR, 2011-2017 NPR-HD, NQR, NRR, 2015-2017 NPR-XD, 2012-2016 Reach, NPR Gas and NPR-HD Gas incomplete trucks. The left rear wheel bearing hub locking bolts may not have been properly tightened during assembly.
The loose bolts can allow the wheel assembly to move outward from the axle housing, affecting the control of the vehicle and reducing braking performance, thereby increasing a risk of a crash.
Isuzu will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the left rear wheel bearing hub locking bolts, tightening them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on April 19, 2017. Owners may contact Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638.

These are Transport Canada campaigns for 2012 Isuzu Npr vehicles sold in Canada. A Canadian campaign may have no US counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in the United States, go by the NHTSA listing above and NHTSA's VIN lookup.
On certain vehicles with gasoline powered engines, the accelerator pedal could move laterally, allowing the accelerator pedal bracket to be hung up on the stopper bolt on the floor panel bracket. This would cause the accelerator pedal to remain in the open position, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will remove and replace the stopper bolt with a flanged plate that will be bolted to the floor bracket to prevent lateral movement of the accelerator pedal. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 2016-545.

On certain vehicles, the left rear wheel bearing hub locking bolts may not have been properly torqued during assembly. This could cause the bolts to loosen and break, which could allow the wheel assembly to move outwards from the axle housing. If this occurs, the vehicle could become more difficult to control and braking distances would increase which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and tighten the rear left wheel bearing hub locking bolts as necessary.

On certain vehicles, the Electronic Control Module (ECM) software may not detect a brake pedal switch failure. If the brake pedal switch malfunctions, application of the brake pedal would fail to deactivate the cruise control. The driver would, however, be able to disengage the cruise control by other means such as; pressing the cruise control main switch located on the instrument panel, shifting the transmission into neutral or another gear, lowering the speed of the vehicle by more than 48 km/h (30 mph) through braking and/or shifting gears, or by turning the engine OFF. Failure or delay in disengaging the cruise control can increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the ECM software.

2012 Isuzu Npr recall questions
NHTSA lists 5 recalls for the 2012 Isuzu Npr model year. That counts campaigns naming this model year, not recalls on your vehicle: many cover only a VIN range or production window. Transport Canada lists 3 Canadian campaigns for the Canadian-market model, shown separately.
Enter your VIN in NHTSA's recall lookup or Isuzu's own, or call a Isuzu dealer with your VIN. Cardog uses your VIN only to find the model year; the recalls shown here are listed for that model year and are not matched to your VIN.
Not necessarily. Transport Canada campaigns cover vehicles sold in Canada. For a vehicle sold in the United States, go by the NHTSA listing and NHTSA's VIN lookup.
Safety recall repairs are normally done at no charge by an authorized Isuzu dealer. The manufacturer's notice for each campaign sets out the remedy and any conditions, so confirm with the dealer when you book.
Once Isuzu's lookup or a dealer confirms a recall applies, book the repair with an authorized Isuzu dealer and bring your VIN. If the manufacturer's notice says not to drive the vehicle or to park it outside, follow that instruction. Parts can take time, so book early.
Follow the manufacturer's notice for that recall. Most allow normal driving until the repair; some tell owners to stop driving or to park outside until it is fixed. Cardog does not grade recalls by severity: the manufacturer's notice and your dealer are the source.
Manufacturers must notify owners they have on record. If you bought the vehicle used or have moved, update your details with Isuzu so notices reach you, and check NHTSA's lookup from time to time.
