Certain vehicles may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. Prescribed text may have been omitted from the airbag warning label in the French language only. As a result, the French-language warning label is more restrictive than the English. Correction: No corrective recall action is required as this technical non-compliance is deemed to be non-safety related.

On certain E-350 and E-450 cutaway vehicles with school bus prep packages and some Econoline E-350 vans, certain frame rail tank guard brackets may have been omitted during vehicle assembly. These brackets are intended to prevent frame edge to fuel tank contact during a vehicle crash. As these vehicles were not evaluated for compliance without the use of brackets, their performance during a vehicle crash is thereby unknown. Should the tank be damaged enough to cause a fuel leak a vehicle fire could ensue, which may result in personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if missing, install the brackets.

On certain Econoline chassis/cab school bus prep package vehicles, the upper fuel tank protection bracket was not assembled in the intended position on the frame rail. The unintended position of the bracket may allow the frame-edge to contact the fuel tank during a vehicle crash. Fuel tank damage may cause fuel leakage which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will reposition the fuel tank protection bracket.

Not necessarily. Transport Canada campaigns cover vehicles sold in Canada. For a vehicle sold in the United States, go by the NHTSA listing and NHTSA's VIN lookup.
Safety recall repairs are normally done at no charge by an authorized Ford dealer. The manufacturer's notice for each campaign sets out the remedy and any conditions, so confirm with the dealer when you book.
Once Ford's lookup or a dealer confirms a recall applies, book the repair with an authorized Ford dealer and bring your VIN. If the manufacturer's notice says not to drive the vehicle or to park it outside, follow that instruction. Parts can take time, so book early.
Follow the manufacturer's notice for that recall. Most allow normal driving until the repair; some tell owners to stop driving or to park outside until it is fixed. Cardog does not grade recalls by severity: the manufacturer's notice and your dealer are the source.
Manufacturers must notify owners they have on record. If you bought the vehicle used or have moved, update your details with Ford so notices reach you, and check NHTSA's lookup from time to time.
