On certain motorcycles and all-terrain-vehicles, the generator stator may have insufficient heat resistance, which could lead to a short circuit of the stator wires. If this occurs, the generator could generate insufficient power to charge the battery, which could result in the engine stalling and not being able to restarted. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : Dealers will replace the generator stator with an improved part.

On certain vehicles, the piston pin circlip may have been improperly installed into the piston groove during assembly. If the circlip is not properly installed, over the course of engine operation, the piston pin will rub against the cylinder wall causing noise and damage, which could result in an engine failure and the engine stalling. Engine stalling would result in a loss of motive power; an engine failure would result in a sudden loss of motive power. These potential outcomes in conjunction with the rider's reactions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the piston set.
