Summary

On certain vehicles, the headlamp driver module (HDM) may not operate properly in high underhood temperatures. If the HDM is not operating correctly, the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lamps could fail to illuminate. Loss of daytime running lamps and low-beam headlamps could result in decreased driver's vision, as well as rendering the vehicle less visible to other motorists, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the headlamp driver module (HDM) with a new design HDM. Note: this condition does not affect the high-beam headlamps, marker lamps, turn signals, or fog lamps. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2015365.

Summary

On certain vehicles, the driver’s door module could experience electrical faults resulting a loss of switch function, erratic switch behaviour (such as power windows lowering and/or raising without driver input) or an electrical short circuit, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire. These issues could occur even when the ignition key is removed and could increase the risk of injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the driver’s door module part number and replace if necessary. In the interim, owners should park their vehicle outdoors. Note: This recall supersedes recalls 2012-282 and 2013-210. Vehicles that were inspected and/or repaired under the previous recalls will require re-inspection and/or repair.
