Issue: On certain Boxster GTS 4.0 and Cayman GTS 4.0 models, the rear vehicle electronics control unit may not have been programmed correctly during production. As a result, the rear spoiler may be too high and block the high-mounted stop lamp. This problem could also lead to poor handling. Safety Risk: A high-mounted stop lamp that is blocked may cause others not to recognize when the vehicle is braking. Additionally, poor handling could cause a loss of control. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reprogram the rear vehicle electronics control unit.

United States records (NHTSA) · 4

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2024 Porsche 718 Cayman vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Porsche's Canadian VIN lookup.
