Campaigns on record across the Land Rover 3500 (1980), from Transport Canada and, tagged NHTSA, the United States. Pick a model year for the Canadian listing, and check your VIN with Land Rover to confirm which apply.
THE POSSIBILITY EXISTS THAT UNDER HIGH AMBIENT/UNDERHOOD TEMPERATURES, A CHEMICAL ACTION MAY TAKE PLACE BETWEEN ANY WATER CONTENT IN THE BRAKE FLUID AND THE BRAKE SPRING IN THE MASTER CYLINDER SECONDARY PISTON CHAMBER. AS A RESULT OF THIS CHEMICAL ACTION, A GAS DEVELOPS (HYDROGEN) WHICH DISPLACES THE BRAKE FLUID CAUSING A PROGRESSIVE INCREASE IN BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PISTON TRAVEL WITH SUBSEQUENT DECREASE IN THE EFFICIENCY OF THE REAR BRAKING SYSTEM.
THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES AT NO CHARGE TO OWNER.
