Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the connections on the high-pressure fuel pumps may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the fuel could leak. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the connections on the high-pressure fuel pumps. The high-pressure fuel pumps and fuel lines will be replaced, as necessary.
Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the pins securing the gas struts for the doors may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the pin(s) could loosen and detach. If this happens when a door is in the open position, the door could fall and close suddenly. Additionally, this problem could also make it difficult to open the door from inside the vehicle. Safety Risk: A door that falls suddenly could increase the risk of injury. Additionally, a door that is difficult to open could slow your exit from the vehicle in an emergency. This could also increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the pins for the doors gas struts .
Issue: On certain vehicles, the connecting rod between the windshield wiper motor and the passenger-side windshield wiper arm could bend and separate. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the passenger-side wiper connecting rod.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the rivets securing the hood latch strikers may not have been installed properly. Under certain conditions, the striker(s) could detach from the hood and the hood may open suddenly while driving. This could also cause the hood to separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A hood that opens suddenly while driving could block the driver's view. Additionally, a hood that detaches could create a road hazard for others. Both could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the hood and/or install a support plate for the strikers.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the headlamps to become incorrectly aimed while driving. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the infotainment main unit in the center console could fail. If this happens, the display screen will not turn on when you start the vehicle and the rearview camera image will not appear when backing up. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the infotainment main unit.
Issue: On certain vehicles, covers were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations do not allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device. Safety Risk: Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install caps over the headlamp adjustment screws.
