Issue: On certain motorcycles, the wiring harness for the left handlebar switch may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the horn and/or the high beam headlight may not work. Safety Risk: A headlight that doesn't work properly could cause reduced visibility. A horn that doesn't work could prevent a rider from warning others of an unsafe situation. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the left handlebar switch housing.
Issue: On certain motorcycles, a software problem in the fuel injection electronic control unit could cause the wheelie control feature not to work properly. As a result, there could be a loss of power to the wheel. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the rear wheel could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Honda recommends not to use the wheelie control feature until the recall repairs have been completed. Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to update the fuel injection electronic control unit.
