Safety Risk: A headlight that doesn't work properly could cause reduced visibility. A horn that doesn't work could prevent a rider from warning others of an unsafe situation. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the left handlebar switch housing.
Issue: On certain motorcycles equipped with an automatic dual-clutch transmission (DCT) , incorrect programming in the engine control unit (ECU) may cause the engine to stall. Safety Risk: A sudden engine stall could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a Honda Powersports dealership to update the engine control unit (ECU) software.
Issue: On certain motorcycles, a problem with the antilock brake system (ABS) modulator could cause reduced brake pressure. If this happens, the motorcycle may have reduced brake performance. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a Honda Power Sports dealer to inspect the ABS modulator. It will be replaced, if necessary.
Issue: On certain motorcycles, some debris (zinc oxide) may have been left inside the fuel tank when it was made. This can contaminate the fuel and clog the fuel filter. If this happens, the engine could stall. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to drain and clean the fuel tank. The fuel filter assembly will also be replaced.
