Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2025-2026 G80, GV80, 2026 G80 "Electrified," GV60, GV70 "Electrified" and GV70 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or fuel gauge, increases the risk of a crash.
Owners are advised to disable the high definition (HD) radio feature until the recall remedy has been performed. The audio video navigation software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or inspected and updated by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 17, 2026. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument panel cluster and audio/video/navigation displays to reboot while driving. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, fuel gauge, warning lights and malfunction tell-tales. Note: For the GV70 model, this recall affects both gas and EV (electric) models. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Genesis advises you to disable the HD radio feature while driving until the recall repairs have been completed. Genesis will notify owners in writing and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the audio/video/navigation software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Genesis dealership.
