On certain vehicles, improper crimping of the metal fitting connectors on the transmission oil cooler lines could allow the lines to become disconnected from the cooler and leak. If the lines leak oil, insufficient lubrication to the transmission could result. If this condition was to exist, the vehicle's transmission could become inoperative, which could pose a potential safety risk to the driver as well as other vehicles and potentially result in damage to the vehicle or property. Correction: Dealer will replace both transmission oil cooler lines.

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Ferrari's Canadian VIN lookup.
