NOTE: THERE ARE TWO DEFECTS IN THIS RECALL INVOLVING TWO COMPONENTS. FIRST, THE ADJUSTABLE HANDLEBARS MAY BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO CRACKING IN THE HANDLEBAR STUB. THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT THIS CRACKING COULD RESULT IN BREAKAGE. SECOND, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE NUT THAT SECURES THE BALL JOINT TO THE TELELEVER SUSPENSION ARM COULD LOOSEN. THIS COULD CAUSE THE MOTORCYCLE'S DYNAMIC STABILITY TO BE IMPAIRED. CORRECTION: THE LEFT AND RIGHT HANDLEBAR AND RELATED PARTS WILL BE REPLACED AND THE BALL JOINT NUT WILL BE REPLACED AND SECURED WITH LOCTITE.

These are NHTSA campaigns for 1995 BMW R 1100 Rs vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles.
