Summary
On certain vehicles, the passenger-side support member (in the engine compartment) may have been manufactured incorrectly. As such, the frame member may have developed a crack during the forming process. This could have an effect on the front structure, reducing crash performance of the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of occupant injury during a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect the passenger-side support member. If a crack is found, Volvo will take the vehicle out of service and replace it with a new one of equal specification.

On certain vehicles, there is a possibility of overheating issues of batteries in the Garmin nüvi® 760 when certain batteries manufactured within a limited date code range are used in certain Garmin nüvi® 760 models with a specific printed circuit board (PCB) design. The interaction of these factors can, in some circumstances, increase the possibility of overheating, which may lead to a fire. Correction: Dealers will direct customers who have an affected unit to the Garmin Web site, which explains how to verify if their units are involved and includes procedures to follow for product exchange.

If the gearshift lever cable or stud assembly becomes loose, it may not be possible to engage, disengage, or shift gears. This could result in a crash causing property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and torque the gearshift lever stud assembly to the correct specification.

This could result in reduced braking performance, that may gradually deteriorate over time. Eventually, this could cause a complete loss of brake functionality, increasing the risk of a crash with property damage, and/or personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake master cylinder and fluid reservoir.
