On certain vehicles, the front lower control arm ball joints could experience a loss of lubrication, which could eventually allow the knuckle to separate from the lower control arm while the vehicle is in operation. A ball joint separation could possibly result in a loss of directional control. Correction: Dealer will replace both front lower control arm ball joints.
Summary
On certain vehicles, aluminum castings used in the manufacture of the vehicle frame may have missed the required heat treatment operation resulting in soft frame castings. Soft frame castings may fracture under expected vehicle operation conditions. If a casting were to fracture, it could compromise vehicle handling or result in a loss of vehicle control and a possible crash without prior warning. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected for soft sub-component frame castings. Owners of vehicles found to have soft frame sub-components will be offered a replacement vehicle.
Summary
Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 105 - Hydraulic Brake Systems. The brake system indicator lamp circuit does not contain the required ground circuit to illuminate the lamp in the event of a brake system hydraulic malfunction. Correction: A wiring jumper will be attached to the brake system pressure differential switch.
Summary
Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 1101 - Emission Device. Vehicles may have been built with a Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label that has an inaccurate evaporative hose routing. Correction: A correct VECI along with installation instructions will be mailed to involved vehicle owners. Dealers will be instructed to assist owners needing help with label installation.

THE BACK LIGHT BULBS FOR THE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY WHICH INDICATES GEAR SHIFT POSITION (PRNDL) AND THE ODOMETER MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INSTALLED. IF THE BULBS FALL OUT, THE DISPLAY MAY BE DIFFICULT TO READ. CORRECTION: THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED WITH A CLUSTER THAT HAS BULBS THAT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TWIST LOCKED IN PLACE.

SOME OF THE FRAME WELDS THAT AFFECT VEHICLE CONTROL AND CRASH WORTHINESS MAY HAVE BEEN OMITTED IN SIX ZONES OF THE FRAME. CORRECTION: VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED FOR THE PRESENCE OF CRITICAL WELDS. VEHICLES WITH MISSING WELDS WILL HAVE THE WELDS ADDED BY A WELDING SPECIALIST.
