Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear lightbar may be cracked. As a result, water could leak into the lightbar and cause the reverse lights not to work, or to flicker. Safety Risk: Reverse lights that don't work could cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is backing up, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear lightbar.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the moonroof wind deflector may not have been attached properly. As a result, the deflector could detach from the vehicle. Note: This recall also affects certain Super Duty incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: A moonroof wind deflector that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the moonroof wind deflector.
Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the connections inside the rearview camera. As a result, the rearview camera image may not display correctly or at all when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Note: For certain models, this recall also affects incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rearview camera.
Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the electronic brake booster motor to shut down. If this happens, there could be a sudden increase in brake pedal force. This could also cause certain driver assistance systems not to work properly. Note: This problem would cause the antilock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC) and brake warning lights to turn on, warning messages to display in the instrument cluster and a warning chime to sound. Safety Risks: A sudden increase in brake pedal force can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, driver assistance systems that don't work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the electronic brake booster module software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the low-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start and the check engine light may turn on. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the SYNC software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the front brake lines may have been bent during engine installation. As a result, the brake lines could become damaged by contact with the engine air cleaner outlet pipe. This could lead to a brake fluid leak and cause reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the front brake lines and/or the air cleaner outlet pipe.
Issue: On one vehicle, the trailer brake controller may not have been wired correctly. As a result, the brake lights could turn on briefly without pressing the brake pedal. Note: This recall only affects one vehicle equipped with an aftermarket trailer brake controller. Safety Risk: Brake lights that turn on without the brake pedal being pressed could cause others not to recognize when the vehicle is braking or not braking and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to repair the wiring and remove the aftermarket trailer brake controller circuit wire from the power distribution box inline controller.
Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the connections inside the rearview camera.
