Issue: On certain trucks, the fasteners that secure the steering arms to the steering knuckles may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the steering arms could loosen and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the fasteners for the steering arms. The dealer will also replace any damaged components, as necessary.

A loose steering arm can result in a loss of vehicle steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners between the steering arm and steering knuckle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 27, 2026. Wheel detachment can cause a loss of vehicle control or create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Dealers will inspect the wheel and hub mating surfaces, remove any masking material, and replace any worn components if necessary, free of charge. Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2019-2026 VAH trucks. The passenger seat belt anchor may fail due to inadequate floor reinforcement. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
A seat belt anchor that fails will not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
