Issue: On certain motorcycles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, there could be increased oil consumption. Under certain conditions, this could cause the engine to fail and the rear wheel to lock up while riding. Safety Risk: A rear wheel that locks up suddenly could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the engine. The engine will be replaced, if necessary. For motorcycles that don't require an engine replacement, the final corrective actions are under development.

United States records (NHTSA) · 3

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2025 Honda Cb1000sp vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Honda's Canadian VIN lookup.
