On certain L9000 vehicles equipped with Detroit Diesel Allison transmissions may have improperly machined forward clutch housings. This condition affects oil evacuation in the clutch housing and may cause the vehicle to move forward when the transmission selector lever is in the neutral position.

Applies only if the manufacturer confirms your VIN · repair by an authorised dealer

On certain LNT9000, LT9000, LTL9000 and LTS9000 vehicles equipped with an optional hendrickson RT440 tandem suspension. Vehicles may have been built with standard rather than the optional equilizing beam-to-rear axle adaptor kits. This incorrect use could result in deterioration of the adaptor-to=beam end bushing joint and possible fracture of the beam-to-axle attaching bolt. This condition could allow the rear axle assembly to shift thus affecting vehicle control.

United States records (NHTSA) · 2

These are NHTSA campaigns for 1979 Ford L-Series vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Ford's Canadian VIN lookup.
