What happened to a unit, one kind of event per route, every item with its source

**Availability: live** on `https://api.cardog.app`.

### GET /v2/vin/{vin}/operators

Every carrier this unit was observed running under *Since 2026-10-27.*

One item per day a federal roadside inspection or crash report put a motor carrier on this unit, most recent first, each naming the carrier by US DOT number and linking to it. An observed association on a dated record, not ownership: a leased unit is operated by a carrier that does not own it. `expand=detail` adds the record it was read from and the carrier as it stands on the register. Costs 3 credits when there is at least one item, 0 when there is none.
